BERLIN / PRAGUE / KRAKOW / ROME / PARIS

DAY 1

On arrival in Frankfurt, travel by train direct service to Berlin Hbf On arrival in Berlin this afternoon, meet your coach and guide for the local city tour - including the main sights in the city center the Brandeburger Gate, the Reichstag, the Victory Column, the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, Potsdamer Platz, the Topography of Terror, Unter den Linden, Kufurstendamm and of course the UNESCO World Heritage Site Museum Island (entrance fees not included). Afterwards continue to hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 2

Today after breakfast make you way to Berlin Zoo (group to pay upon entrance). Afterwards using your transport card travel to Berlin Dungeons for an English speaking show at 4.30pm (reservation booking only, pay on entrance). Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3

Today after breakfast meet your guide at the hotel for a walking tour this morning (3hrs) of Third Reich Berlin. Experience the dramatic final days of the World War II in Berlin during this half-day walking excursion. Visit some of the most important historical sites in Berlin with your

guide, discovering the series of events that culminated in the final German surrender. View the site of Hitler's former bunker and learn about daily life for residents during the war, particularly those who opposed the Third Reich. Afterwards make you way to Weihenstephaner am

Hackeschen Markt for lunch before returning to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4

This morning after breakfast transfer to Berlin Hbf for your train bound for Prague. On arrival in Prague this afternoon, you will be met and greeted by a local guide and transferred by private coach for a guided tour of Prague Castle and all its grandeur as it overlooks the Vltava River and Old Town. Afterwards continue to hotel for check in and free time to explore your new surroundings. Dinner tonight is own arrangements. Return to accommodation for overnight stay.

DAY 5

Today after breakfast transfer by coach for the short journey to Kunsthalle Praha (carpark), then make the short walk down hill to Charles Bridge to meet your guide for a walking tour of the city. Starting off at Charles Bridge with insight commentary from your guide, you will take in the majestic grandeur of Prague with sightseeing including Lesser Town, Jewish Quarter, Old Town. Todays’ excursion also includes a traditional Czech lunch and cruise on the Vltava River.  Tour concludes back at Charles bridge where you can continue exploring Prague with your teachers. Dinner at local restaurant before returning to hotel to collect luggage and transfer to Prague hl.n for overnight train to Krakow.

DAY 6

This morning arrival in Krakow where you will be met by your English speaking assistant and meet your coach and transfer for your guided tour of Aushwitz, afterwards lunch in local Auschwitz-Birkenau restaurant. Return to Krakow for overnight stay and dinner

DAY 7

After breakfast meet your local city guide at your hotel to begin a 3 hour morning walking tour of the Old Town - Old Town Walk.

A former capital of Poland, medieval centre of merchandising, the city where all the legends were once true. Discover Krakow from the inside and learn about the most important places with our licenced, English speaking tour guide.  Undamaged by the Second World War, Krakow has been listed by UNESCO as one of the most significant historic sites in the world. The tour includes all the highlights of the Old Town that made Krakow famous. It follows the Royal Route which goes along the most beautiful streets in Krakow, the Slowacki Theatre, one of the oldest universities in Europe – the Jagiellonian University, the spectacular Main Market Square compared in size only to Piazza San Marco in Venice, St. Mary’s Basilica, and of course the magnificent Royal Castle on Wawel Hill (all from the outside, entrance fees not included).

The rest of the day at your own leisure – why not enjoy visit the Main Market Square and a bit of shopping. The Cloth Hall is a good place to find handicrafts, such as jewellery, wooden chess sets, glass, textiles, lace and other reasonably priced items. Enjoy dinner tonight at local restaurant before return to hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 8

Early start this morning with check out of hotel and coach transfer from hotel to airport to catch your flight to Rome. On arrival in Rome, you will be transferred to hotel. As rooms may not be ready, hotel will store luggage as you have free time to explore with your teachers prior to check-in. Suggested sightseeing may include Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona. Return for check-in and then make your way to enjoy a Gladiator Experience where you will learn the basics of gladiatorial sword fighting, an experience to remember forever. 

DAY 9

After Breakfast coach transfer for a Rome City Tour that takes in the Vatican Museum, St Peters Basilica, Colosseum and Roman Forum / Palatine Hill (entrances included). Afterwards return to hotel where the evening will be free for leisure. 

DAY 10

After breakfast you have a free morning to continue to explore Rome. Later this afternoon, make your own way to Rist. Origano Campo de Fiori a short 6min walk from the Pantheon, for your cooking class (appetizer + pizza + dessert tiramisù). Each student will have their own table to prepare their homemade Italian dinner. Once completed enjoy the meal you have prepared with a soft drink and at the end everyone will receive an apron in memory of the day.

DAY 11

This morning after breakfast, a full day excursion to Pompeii. Pompeii was once a prosperous commercial town and the centre of an important wine-producing district. But on 24 August AD 79 Mount Vesuvius erupted burying the entire town under a thick carpet of volcanic ash. The site was rediscovered in the 18th century revealing buildings, artifacts and fascinating details about daily life 2000 years ago. This afternoon, return to Rome hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 12

This morning coach transfer to Rome Airport in readiness for your flight to Paris. On

arrival in Paris, private coach transfer to your accommodation. This highly sought-after accommodation is located in the city centre in the bustling 14th arrondissement and is perfect for school groups. It provides spacious rooms, private bathrooms and fantastic communal areas for groups to gather and discuss their upcoming plans for the day. Rest of day free to explore your new surroundings. Dinner at hostel.

DAY 13

Following breakfast at your accommodation, meet your guide for a walking tour of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe and Notre Dame Cathedral (no entrances included). Afterwards continue to explore Paris with your teachers using your Mobilis 1 Day Card. Dinner is included at your accommodation.

DAY 16

Following breakfast at your accommodation, travel by train to Disneyland Paris for a fun filled day (Packed Lunch included). Later enjoy dinner (own arrangements) before returning to overnight accommodation.

DAY 17

This morning after breakfast travel by train to the Chateau de Versailles, one of the finest achievements of Louis XIV’s reign. Afterwards return to Paris to continue exploring/ shopping and overnight accommodation.

DAY 18

This morning after breakfast you have free time for any last minute sightseeing or shopping using your Mobilis Card, before a coach transfer this afternoon to CDG Airport in readiness for your flight home.

GREECE ITALY

Day 1, arrive Athens

On arrival into Athens this morning you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Free time to explore and enjoy Athens.

Day 2, tour Athens

Morning city tour of Athens to include House of Parliament and the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, Olympic Stadium, Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Arch and the Acropolis. Dinner tonight is included at your hotel.

Day 3 cruise Ageans

This morning transfer by bus to Paleon Phaleron, Trocadero Harbour. Sail for the island of Aegina (optional visit to the famous Temple of Athena Aphaia). Cruise through the straits to Poros (visit). Lunch on board. Then onto Hydra for time to shop or swim. Sail back to Trocadero Harbour and transfer back to Athens.

Day 4, to Nauplion

Depart Athens and travel to Nauplion (first capital of modern Greece), crossing the Corinth Canal, visit Epidaurus Amphitheatre. Overnight Nauplion

Day 5, to Olympia

Depart Nauplion and travel to Olympia. En route, visit Mycenae (kingdom of King Agamemnon).Overnight Olympia

Day 6, to Delphi

Visit Olympia's archaeological sites including the Sanctuary of Zeus, Olympic Stadium and the Museum. Continue to Delphi via Patras to Rion where you cross the Corinth Gulf before arriving in Delphi. Overnight Delphi

Day 7, tour to Arachova 

Morning visit to the Delphi museum and the Sanctuary of Apollo. Drive to the quaint village of Arachova, situated on the northern slopes of Mt. Parnassos. Overnight Delphi.

Day 8, to Kalambaka

Depart Delphi and visit Thermopylae to recount the heroics of Spartan King Leonidas. Then travel via the picturesque villages of central Greece on the way to Kalambaka. Overnight Kalambaka

Day 9, tour to Meteora

Morning visit to Meteora Monastries. Afternoon return to Kalambaka. Overnight Kalambaka

Day 10, cruise the Adriatic to Bari, Italy

Drive to Igoumenitsa to catch the overnight Superfast Ferries service to Bari. Travel in comfort in 3 & 4 berth cabins. (Overnight service to Bari - approx 15 hours).

Day 11, to Sorrento

Arrive Bari by ferry and travel via Selerno and the Amalfi coast to Sorrento.

ITALIAN JOURNEY

Day 1, Rome

Arrive Rome this morning and transfer by coach to your hotel. Free for private sightseeing.

Day 2, Vatican Rome

Your morning city tour of Rome will include a guided visit together with entrance fee to the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel.

Day 3, Ancient Rome

Enjoy a full day city sightseeing. Visit the famed Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Castel S. Angelo, Basilica of St. Peter followed by a tour of the Roman Forum, Circus Maximus and the imposing Colosseum.

Day 4, to Assisi, Siena & Florence

Early morning departure for Assisi, the mystic town of St. Francis still surrounded by ancient walls. Visit of St. Francis' Basilica with its early Renaissance masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue. Continuation on the way to Siena, the beautiful medieval city renowned for the Palio. Continue to Florence.

Day 5, tour Florence

Guided sightseeing tour of the cradle of the Renaissance. Visit of the beautiful Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto's Bell Tower, St. John's Baptistry, the Academy of Fine Arts Gallery housing the David by Michelangelo and Santa Croce, the 13th century Franciscan church with Cimabue's famous crucifix. Rest of the day at leisure for sightseeing or shopping.

Day 6, to Padua & Venice

Departure for Padua, where you will visit the famous St. Anthony's Cathedral with Donatello's Gattamelata. Continuation to Venice and guided walking tour of this unique city. You will see St. Mark's Piazza and Basilica, the Doges' Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and the Prisons. Then visit of a glass factory to see the moulding of glass.

Day 7, tour Venice

Morning at leisure for an optional tour to the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello by motorlaunch or for shopping. Day 8, tour to Verona, Lake Garda & Milan Departure to Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet, then panoramic view of Lake Garda. Proceed to Milan.

Day 9, to Bologna & San Marino

Departure to San Marino via Bologna, one of Italy's most important art cities. Visit of this fascinating medieval city with its charming squares Piazza Maggiore and Piazza Del Nettuno. Proceed to San Marino, the world's smallest and oldest independent Republic, founded in 301 a. D. as a Christian sanctuary.

Day 10, to Perugia & Rome

Travel to Perugia, the charming university town. Visit of the impressive cathedral and the Palazzo dei Priori. Proceed to Rome.

Day 11, Rome

Free day to explore and enjoy Rome.

Day 12, to Australia

Airport transfer for flight to Australia

ITALIAN LANGUAGE STUDY

Day 1, (Sun) Milan

On arrival in Milan transfer to language school to meet with your host families.

Day 2, (Mon) to Day 6, (Fri) Language Study

Over these five days you will study at the language school for 3 hours each morning. Breakfasts and dinners will be with your host families. A guided tour of Como and Milan are also to be enjoyed this week.

Day 7, (Sat) to Montecatini

This morning it is time to farewell your host families and travel to Genova and then via Pisa to Montecatini for dinner and overnight.

Day 8, (Sun) tour to Florence

Guided sightseeing tour of the cradle of the Renaissance. Visit of the beautiful Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto's Bell Tower, St. John's Baptistry, the Academy of Fine Arts Gallery housing the David by Michelangelo and Santa Croce, the 13th century Franciscan church with Cimabue's famous crucifix.

Day 12, (Thu) to AustraliaTransfer to the airport for flight to Australia
