CENTRAL AUSTRALIA
Day 1
Upon arrival in Alice Springs, you will be met by your driver and transferred by coach to your accommodation to check in, then time for lunch.
After lunch some free time to walk around Alice Springs.
This afternoon, visit the Alice Springs Desert Park and Reptile Centre before heading back to your accommodation for the evening meal
Day 2
This morning after breakfast enjoy a full day to the Western Macdonnell Ranges Day Trip exploring Ormiston Gorge, Glen Helen Gorge, Ellery Creek Big Hole before returning to your accommodation and evening meal
Day 3
Depart Alice and drive to Lilla remote outstation, Karrke Aboriginal Cultural Tour at Wanmara Community, Kings Canyon, Watarrka National Park. Meet with Lilla’s traditional owners for Luritja welcome ceremony.
Lilla is an aboriginal outstation community located in the Watarrka National Park. In the native tongue of the Luritja country, Lilla means sweet water. If you visit Lilla you will get a chance drink the best tasting water that has been filtered through the Mereenie sandstone from underground springs.
For twenty years, Reg Ramsden, owner of Remote Tours has been forging a close relationship with the people of Lilla. Reg has spent years with them learning and understanding their traditional culture, and trying to impart that knowledge to the visitors he brings to the area.
Day 4
After breakfast, enjoy Lilla Cultural Activities with traditional owner’s including guided walks through historical sites such as caves, waterholes, cultural activities such boomerangs, sand and dot painting, campfire damper and kangaroo tails, guided walk through Kings Canyon and along the famous Rim Walk hike.
Day 5
Depart Lilla and drive to Uluru for afternoon guided base walk (Mala Walk)
Sunset viewing of Uluru from lookout a short walk from your Private Campsite
Day 6
After breakfast, enjoy a Guided walk through Kata Tjuta National Park to explore the Olga Rocks along the Valley of the Winds and visit to Uluru Cultural centre.
Day 7
Early morning Guided Camel Rides at Uluru Camel Farm After breakfast, pack up and transfer back to the airport in readiness for your flight home.
