Beijing Highlights

Day 1, Australia - Beijing

Your trip begins to day with your flight to Beijing, China.  On arrival transfer to your hotel followed by free time to settle in.

Day 2, Beijing

First stop is the historical Tiananmen Square,  the biggest open-urban square in the world. Named for its ‘Gate of Heavenly Peace’ (Tiananmen), the square contains the monument of the heroes of the Revolution, the Great Hall of the People & the Mao Zedong Memorial Hall. You will also visit the magnificent ancient Forbidden City which was the imperial palace during the Ming & Qing Dynasties.  After lunch visit the Temple of Heaven, a complex of ancient Taoist buildings, where the emperors would come to worship their Gods.

Day 3, The Great Wall at Mutianyu

This morning travel to the Great Wall at Mutianyu, located in Huairou County.  This section of the wall is 70 km from Beijing.  Connected with Juyong Pass in the west and Gubeikou in the east, it is one of the best preserved parts of the Great Wall.  There are 22 watch towers in the 2250-metre long Mu Tian Yu section, the highest being 540 metres  Tonight, enjoy a sumptuous Peking Duck dinner.

Day 4, Summer Palace & Beijing Zoo

First stop on this half day tour is the Summer Palace, situated in the Haidian District northwest of Beijing it is the largest and most well-preserved royal park in China.  Afterwards visit the Beijing Zoo to view the Giant Pandas.Day 5, BeijingThis afternoon, experience a rickshaw tour of Beijing’s original “hutong” district, a fascinating maze of back alleys and hidden courtyards.

Day 6, Beijing

Free day to explore and enjoy Beijing.  There are many areas of Beijing where you can shop for clothing, electronic goods and souvenirs.  Here are two such areas.  Wangfujing Street has two huge shopping malls as well as traditional department stores and souvenir shops.  Xiushui (Silk) Street is market-style shopping mall selling all kinds of clothing, bags, replica designer labels etc.  Evening acrobatic performance

Day 7, Beijing - Australia

There may be time for last minute shopping or sightseeing before airport transfer to board your flight to Australia.

Day 8, Australia

Arrive home port today.

SHANGHAI – XI’AN - BEIJING OVERLAND

SHANGHAI – XI’AN - BEIJING OVERLAND

DAY 1, AUSTRALIA - SHANGHAI

Assemble at International Airport this morning to check-in in readiness for flight departing for China. On arrival in Shanghai and after clearing customs and immigration you have a private coach transfer to hotel for overnight stay. Overnight stay Shanghai.

DAY 2, SHANGHAI

This morning’s tour begins with the classic sights from the Ming and Qing dynasties, and you will visitthe enchanting YuyuanGarden and Shanghai Old Street. The tour stops at the Bund on Shanghai's waterfront, a showcase of pre-1949 architecturebefore visiting a silk factory to view this ancient process. This evening, enjoy an acrobatic show.

DAY 3, SHANGHAI

Today after breakfast todays touring starts with themorning spent enjoying the shopping area of Naijing road where lunch will be also be served . Afterwards  enjoy a sound and light cable car ride under theHuangpu River. Visit the Shanghai Financial Centre, admission to the 94th floor observation deck included. 

DAY 4, SHANGHAI – ZHU JIA JIAO – XI`AN

This afternoon tour to the picturesque Zhu Jia Jiao, a classic water village, over 400 years old and with its signature five-archbridge spanning the Cao Gang River. Zhu Jia Jiao was an important town for local trade.Its main street is lined with quaintshops and restaurants serving local favourites. Stroll the maze of paths and bridges, and take a boat ride to view theresidences of this well-preserved water village.Late this afternoon transfer to the train station to travel “soft sleeper” to Xi’an.

DAY 5, XI`AN

On arrival this morning, today’s full day tour takes in the Army of theTerracotta Warriors, the Tomb ofQin Shihuang.Tonight enjoy the experience of a Tang Dynasty Show.

DAY 6, XI`AN - BEIJING

Walk along the top of the Xian City Wall and then visit the Wild Goose Pagoda, the symbol of Xi’an. Complete your touringwith a visit to the old mosque and local market. This afternoon, transfer to the station to board your train to Beijing. Traveltime about 4 to 5 hours. On arrival transfer by coach to your hotel.                                                                                                                                                       

DAY 7, BEIJING

TAIWAN & SINGAPORE

Day 1 - ARRIVE  TAIPEI

Meet at the International Airport in readiness for your flight to Taiwan.Upon arrival and after clearing customs/ immigration, meet your driver and transfer to your accommodation by private coach.

Day 2 - TAIPEI

After breakfast, transfer to Yehliu GeoPark to see the rock formation and the Queen’s Head.  Then will go Jiufen Old town, which was a mining village in Japanese Colonial age. There are many ancient Japanese style building. The famous one is Amei Tea House.  You can learn the tea ceremony there. Also you must taste the taro ball for dessert.

Visit Shifen street, there are some local street food.  The most important is to release traditional Chinese Lantern. Write down your wishes on the lantern and release it to the sky. The God will hear that!

Day 3 - TAIPEI

After breakfast, meet the tour guide at the hotel lobby and transfer outside of Taipei.

First, a local tea master is waiting for you. He will tell you about the story of tea, and you have to pick up the tea leaves from his private tea farm, and then you have to select the suitable leaves, to bake, to cook. In the end, you can taste the tea made by yourself.  After the tea tour with a local tea master. Visit National Center of Traditional Arts. It is a large park that many traditional Chinese craft stores inside the park. Take your time to go around the park. You can take boat, appreciate Chinese traditional opera, puppet show. Immerse yourself in a different culture.

Day 4 - TAIPEI

After breakfast, meet your tour guide at hotel lobby. Today the tour guide will take you to experience Taipei City, a modern but also a traditional city. First we will go CKS Memorial Hall to see the guard changing ceremony.  It is a very famous ceremony to see the changing guns.

After Lunch, we will go National Palace Museum to see the more than 600 thousand historical treasure from mainland China. These cultural masterpieces will amaze you.  Then visit Taipei 101 tower. It was the tallest building in the world. You can take the fastest elevator up to 89F to see the whole view of Taipei.

Before the dinner, take a light hike at Elephant mountain to see the sunset with Taipei city view. Visit Rao He night market. It is an authentic market that local people will go have meals there. More than hundred stalls for you to choose. Maybe you will be already full when you just see so many street food at the night market.

Day 5 to 12 - TAIPEI HOMESTAY/ LANGUAGE LESSON  (B/ D)

This morning after breakfast, Students check out of your accommodation and transfer by coach to the LTL Taipei School for your 7- night Homestay/ Language program

The Taipei school is equipped with 9 Classrooms, a Lunch and Lounge Areas, Lockers, a Kitchen area with coffee, tea and water, and a great quiet environment to learn Chinese, while also being close to Taipei's famous Night Markets and Night Life!

Homestay

When you book the program, you will receive an invitation to fill out our Registration Form. This Registration Form, aside from the general information, such as age, arrival details and others, will also have a Homestay section to fill out. The section includes a variety of questions such as the type of Homestay preferred, your personality, preferred level of English, dietary restrictions (in case there is anything that cannot be eaten), etc. Through the information filled out on this section, we will organize the best possible Homestay from the available ones at the time of booking.
As the organization of the most suitable Homestay starts once the Registration Form is filled out, it is best to book as early as possible so as to guarantee a good availability of Homestays that we can choose from.

For our standard programs, lunch is not typically included, as we always have lunch with the students at nearby restaurants (at own cost). However, if students would like lunch prepared by their homestay, we can arrange this for an additional cost.

Survival Kit

It includes support related material such as SIM Card for the mobile phone, Metro/Bus card for transportation (both with money pre-charged on them), support for any problem or issues that may occur and an array of other support related services.

Teachers will remail at Hotel B, Taipei (3*) or similar for the duration of the students Homestay program from 14 to 21 September. Teachers will each be provided with multi - day metro passes during this time.

Day 7 - TAIPEI

This afternoon the students have a cooking class and with lunch at the class with Taiwanese chef. You will learn 3 Taiwanese dishes and bubble milk tea.

Day 9 - TAIPEI

This afternoon, the students will be collected from the LTL school and transfer by coach to visit Yangmingshan National Park : Xiaoyoukeng, Beitou Ground Thermal Valley, Hot Spring Museum with all transfers and entrance fees

Yangmingshan is one of Taiwan National Parks, including volcano, thermal valley and hot spring. Students can see the volcanos at the parks, and learn the hot spring history and culture in Taiwan.

Day 11 - TAIPEI

Today the group will be collected from the LTL school by coach to spend the day at the Taipei Zoo, and returned to the LTL school at the end of the day. Taipei Zoo is the largest zoo in North Taiwan. Apart from other animals you will see in the zoo, you can see pandas in the park. You can take the small train in the park.

Day 12 - TAIPEI TO SINGAPORE

Last minute shopping before we transfer to the airport in readiness for the flight to Singapore. Upon arrival in Singapore, transfer by private coach to your accommodation with dinner at Little India on the way

Day 13 - SINGAPORE

This morning after breakfast, transfer to the Science Centre to enjoy a workshop that will broaden your knowledge with a wide range of science enrichment programs at the Singapore Science Centre. This afternoon we have a guided visit of the ArtScience Museum. This evening, enjoy dinner on a Bumboat river cruise before making our way by coach to your accommodation.

Day 14 - SINGAPORE

This morning after breakfast, we take in the impressive sights of Marina Barrage during a guided tour including Sustainable Singapore Gallery, Green Roof, Solar Panels and the Marina Barrage followed by Gardens by the Bay light show (standard admission). This evening is at leisure.

Day 15 - SINGAPORE

This morning after breakfast, transfer to Universal Studios for a day of adventure and excitement, followed by Wings of Time Light Show via cable car - a spectacular light water show about friendship and courage. Be wowed by spellbinding laser, fire and water effects set to a majestic soundtrack, complete with an awe-inspiring fireworks display.

Day 16 - DEPART SINGAPORE

Early morning  breakfast, then transfer to the Singapore International Airport in readiness for your flight home.
